Abstract

The body (1) of the attachment is screwed (36) to the side of the electric coffee grinder. When switched on (32), ground coffee enters a chamber (2) through an opening (35) and pushes up a plunger (3). This de-energises a microswitch (22) when the correct amount is in the chamber. The mill is stopped and another microswitch (27) closes and energises a solenoid (14). This attracts a core (11) and a trap (8) fixed to it. The trap forms the floor of the chamber and a 90 deg. lever (19) operated by the movement of the core, pivots (20) and forces down the plunger in the chamber, to drop the coffee into the infuser (9).
