Abstract

A battery powered light, the battery of which consists of a number of monocells, is constructed such that the monocells are subdivided into two even groups and the pair of cell groups are arranged such that they may be linked in series or parallel circuits. Both cell groups may be connected into the appropriate lighting circuit by means of a parallel/series selector switch (H) which consists of two contact springs (f1, f2) lying above one another and which can be forced apart by means of a slider (R) to disconnect their external counter contact ends (g1, g2).
