Abstract
The telecommunication network, for handling logic traffic such as facsimile data has a dynamic memory system (MD) with a number of lines of memory with rings of shift registers. These lines contain the caller and called-number addresses. Each transmission line (e.g. Lz) connects to the address decoders (Dr, De) by two pairs of logic gates via a line adapter (AD). The gates are connected back-to-back which enables the network to have a symmetrical configuration and to switch the logic signals in a unilateral direction by using a sampling technique linked to the shift registers of the memory. The network design has only one memory unit and is useful for unilateral transmissions on bidirectional lines.
