Abstract

Pulse-counting circuit, particularly for controlling the radioactivity of liquid effluents, using a Geiger-Muller detector, which uses at least one pulse-counting circuit with a time base varying as a function of the input frequency of the pulses. Enables a Geiger-Muller detector to be used where its sensitivity in the ordinary way would be too low without the need for the heavy and costly equipment associated with the more sensitive scintillation detector and photomultiplier tube.
