Abstract

A steam bath for facial treatment has an open topped container which holds the water, with a stepped down base, around which fits a cup shaped clamping member (6) with a disc shaped heating element (3) between them mounted on a central supporting screw (15). The clamping member acts as a heat conductor, and is secured around the stepped base of the container by grooves (9) rolled around it, which fit into grooves around the container. The minimum and normal water level is marked inside the container. Under the base is positioned a temperature sensor (11) in contact with the underside of the clamping member, and connected to a cut-out arm to prevent overheating.
