Abstract

The machine consists of a container in sheet metal (1) in which is held the water for the water bath, the water being heated by an electric resistance (2) controlled by a thermostat. The thermostat components and the electrical circuits are housed in a sheet metal box (6) located in front of the container and attached to it. The electrical resistance is capable of heating the water very rapidly, but the increase in temperature can be stopped immediately when the desired value has been obtained, through the absence of any metallic earth. Strict temperature control is obtained by a thermostat of which the sensor (12) is located between the two arms of the resistance, thus accurately monitoring the heat output. An inner bath (4) contains the paraffin wax, and rests directly on the bottom of the outer bath, on four feet (8) a few cms. above the resistances. It is provided with a cover (10).
