Abstract

Prefabricated noise-screening wall is made up from parallel spaced vertical column beams, anchored in the ground and enlosing bays of walling between them, and noise screening flat surface units which can be fixed to the beams, incorporating the bays. The wall includes carrier panels (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) as basic components, and these can be assembled to make up a closed sound-reflecting surface, and fixed to the rear side of the column beams (3, 4, 5), on the side away from the surface of noise. The carrier panels can be as long as two bays, and of part wall height, one row being offset relative to the one above by the breadth of a bay, with joints behind the middle of the column beams. They may be made from palstic-glued chipboard with a plastic coating.
