Abstract

The system for transport of shopping trolleys between different levels uses an escalator and trolleys with skids between their wheels, so that each trolley is supported on a step partly by its wheels. The bottom part of the trolley frame is lowered (6), and carries one of the two pairs of wheels (3). The wheels carried by the lowered portion of the frame can be non-steering, and this portion can have pads (61, 62) acting as supports resting on the steps, so as to allow one or the other pair of wheels to do the same. The steering wheels can be attached to the frame by a bearing and a spring.
