Abstract

The furniture hinge has a support arm on the furniture wall and insertion cup socket on the door side. This socket accommodates a hinge lever pivot arrangement. The hinge load is reduced and hence this hinge can be used for applications where the door is subject to high mechanical loads. The socket is designed as an outer shell (5) with internal, pivoted support (4) for hinge joint. This support is pivoted within the outer shell about an axis at right angles to the hinge pivoting axis. An additional fastener (25, 26) is provided for joining these components together. This fastener consists of a metal pin (24) whose projecting end (25) fits into the bores (26) in the seat formed by the outer shell (5).
