Abstract

The packet accommodates a number of identical bottles, each with a round neck and wider at the base. A first group of bottles (1) are placed on their bases, each bottle touching all the adjacent ones in the group along surfaces (8) extending upwards from the base. The surfaces on each bottle are separated from each other by recesses (11). Adjacent recesses form intervening chambers widening towards the top, as to accommodate the necks of inverted bottles in a group above the first one (1a). These second bottles have widened bodies so as to fit against surfaces of the recesses. Means (6) are included to hold the bottles together in the packet. A base can be included, on which the bases and tops of the bottles in the groups respectively rest.
