Abstract

1,233,826. Bottle carriers. ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS Inc. 31 July, 1969 [31 July, 1968], No. 38529/69. Heading B8C. A flexible carrier 10 for holding a group of containers (e.g. six bottles 60) in a pair of adjacent rows is folded about the bottles 60 so that a central member 14 engages the bottles adjacent their upper ends, a section 32 engages the outer sides of the bottles, base members 46 support the bottoms of the bottles, strips 52 are disposed between the rows, and a handle 54 projects through and above the central member 14. The section 32 comprises parallel pockets 34, each engaging a bottle. In a modification (Fig. 7, not shown), the strips 52 are replaced by further pockets (80), in which case the pockets 34 may be replaced by strips.
