Abstract

The handle (10) of the mower (A) has a flexible support stay (1), lockable in position from vertical to almost horizontal (1a). The cable (3) passes up the handle and support, over a pulley (2) and to a tubular support stay (H) fixed vertically to a light wheeled trolley (7). The cable descends over a pulley (4), down inside the support and is stored on a reel (E) fitted with a constant tension device. The end of the cable passes out of the reel for connection (5) to the supply and excess cable is looped onto a peg (6) on the support. The trolley has handles (9) and is spiked (11, 12) into the ground.
