Abstract

The tank (1) is provided with support brackets (2) spaced around its upper edge. Each bracket is a U shaped metal pressing, its base pierced for better integration into the tank structure. The bracket is used on its side and has a fixing hole through each leg. The cover (15) is supported by a cable (14) running over a pulley (10, 12) each end of a U shaped support stay (8), this being held by a welded-on vertical tube (17) fitting in one support bracket. A pneumatic seal (16) around the edge of the cover is operated through an air line (20) passing inside the stay and down the vertical tube.
