Abstract

The large vehicle is fitted with windscreen wipers which are driven by separate electric motors. Each motor is fitted with a control cam plate to operate on wiper contacts to control the automatic parking etc. A third set of cams is fitted to each plate with a single switch operating position. This is used to synchronise the two wiper motors. The faster motor is stopped for a short time when its wiper contact reaches the special cam, and is restarted when the other motor reaches its cam with its wiper. This provides a simple synchronising control for the wiper motors without any complicated joining linkage.
