Abstract
The valve has a hinged flap set by a temperature-sensitive locking device in a number of different angular positions inside a hollow body. When high temperatures release the locking device it falls back under its own weight into a position reducing the area of the cross section left free. It is in the form of a semicircular disc (2) turning freely in a ring (3), and the locking device (7) turns with it. There are notches (9)in the ring, open towards the inside, and in which the point (8) of the device engages. The device can be in the form of an exploding cartridge, and a counterweight (10) can be fitted to the disc.
