Abstract

The precision press with a set of pillars connecting the lower, stationary part with the upper part which houses the moving parts, has control devices which allow adjustment to ensure the accurate registration of the upper press member with the matrix on the lower part in the lowest dead position, and which are incorporated in the pillars (1). Such a control device may consist of a triangular block (3) with its lower face resting on a support surface and with corrugations on its vertical face, which fit grooves in the top of the pillar and held down by a collar with a sloping inside face which rests on the sloping side of the triangular block. This collar is attached by screws to the support surface, and spaced from it by further screws.
