Abstract

The equipment allows lamps not normally visible from the control position to be checked for proper operation from this position, being particularly for a vehicle. A small quantity of light is deflected from the source and delivered to a position normally visible from the driver's seat, typically on the dashboard. An optical fibre can be used for this purpose, and alternatively it can lead to a position visible by the rear view mirror. The light can be derived by the fibre after passing through the lamp housing, from a point near the bulb socket.
