Abstract

The concrete mixer mixes relatively large quantities and adapts to mix various types of concrete e.g. lightweight dry or normal. The mixing arms (7, 8) are staggered by 180 deg. to one another, and are mounted on radial support arms (5, 6). The helical form arms extend from end panels (3, 4) to beyond the vessel (2) centre, act in front of supplementary mixing lugs (9, 10) and are rotated by shafts (22) which traverse end walls (3, 4). Arm motion is synchronized by a clutch (13), is powered by motors (11, 12), and regulators (17, 18) similar or contra rotation of the arms with individual arm speed control. Scrapers sweep the end panels (3, 4) and the vessel interior and working parts are lined with interchangeable hard wearing tiles.
