Abstract

The junction box, for electrical installations, has a circular housing with the two wires passing straight through it parallel to one another. Inside the housing each wire passes through two aligned slots (4) in a metal contact piece (11). The two contact pieces are located at opposite sides of the housing and mutually isolated. Each contact piece is double L-shaped with the two Ls joined at the end with the slots and curved into a contact socket (12) at the other end. External plug pins can be inserted into these two sockets so that an external load is connected across the wires.
