Abstract

Curtain wall for sepg. and isolating areas of wateR, e.g. for forming safe bathing area in polluted lake etc., constitutes a curtain of nylon membrane or other durable supple synthetic material in single or double form, the base of the curtain being weighted down ont the lake etc. bed and the top being supported by continuous floats, and an assembly incorporating filters and heaters, etc. Pref. double curtains contain solid or liquid insulating materials in the cavity; top floats define enclosed areas at a level above that of ambient liquid level. The all auto-adjusts to water level variations, is movable and adaptable, is more economic than solid counterparts, and if installed in flowing water uses the available natural energy to effect filtering, pumping and heating of the contained volume.
