Abstract

The package comprises side and end panels joined together round a double bottle row, while top and bottom panels hinge on the side ones and have overlapping free edges engaging together. Means are included for supporting the filled packages while they are transported along a set path between endless belts on opposite sides. Ramps are provided above the path, acting against the top panels and the side ones near the hinges, and pressing these panels tight against the bottles as the package is moved forward through mechanisms including a fixed blade engaging the panel edges together.
