Abstract

A filter cupboard comprises a sheet steel case with a frame front door supported on brackets fixed to a wall projecting through holes in the back of the case. Usually there are 4 brackets near to each corner of the cupboard aligned in 2 horizontal planes, the upper 2 brackets joined on a common backing plate. Each bracket has a stop at the outer end and the casing where the brackets pass through is strengthened at the top of the cut-out by bending the casing, so as to form a bearing surface. Adjusting screws mounted in the casing clamp onto the brackets to allow horizontal positioning of the cupboard. The front door frame is made of angle bar surrounding a seating, so that the interchangeable panels are trapped between the seating and one side of the angle. The other side of the angle has holes drilled for fixing screws which tighten the seating to the angle to fix the panel in place. For installing in kitchens to house fume filters. Horizontal adjustment allows them to be fitted flush with existing units. Frame door allows panels matching decor of the room to be inserted and can be changed to suit other units.
