Abstract

The attachment can be easily attached to a conventional tractor and consists of an extending, swivelling arm (21) to which a cutting rotor (22) and a duct through which the cut material is expelled by the rotor. The rotor itself can be swivelled vertically or horizontally and can comprise any desired cutting tool such as blades, knives or flails which revolved at high speed in order to propel the material up through the expulsion duct. The whole apparatus is controlled by hydraulics (23) relayed from the tractor engine (1). It reduces the cost of maintaining drainage ditches and takes up less room on the road than conventional types of cutter, thus reducing the danger to passing motorists.
