Abstract

The independent suspension for a vehicle wheel has an element (3) oscillating around an almost horizontal axis. Between the chassis and the oscillating element is a rigid spherical bearing (4) on the wheel axis (Q) and flexible stops (5) limiting the amount of oscillation. The spherical bearing has a seat (6) fixed to the chassis by a threaded stud (11) and a nut, the seat receiving a spherical head (8) on a longitudinal rod (16), threaded at its end having a nut (24) to retain the assembly. A flexible sealing joint (15) is provided to retain lubricant. There is another seating (19) for the flexible stops (5) with a tubular piece (20) and a metallic sleeve (21). The rod (16) supports the forked end of the oscillating element (3).
