Abstract

Ring-shaped inner sections (2) are inserted in similar outer sections (1) in such a manner that their ends are offset. They are then joined together using material such as epoxy resin (3). The process allows production of long pipe sections without the need for long moulds, nor is it necessary to make a large number of joints on site which then have to be checked for leaks. The arrangement allows continuous sections of e.g. 20m in length and 1 m in dia. Preferably a short inner stub is first affixed to an outer pipe using the resin before being resin coated at its other end, and inserted into an adjoining outer pipe.
