Abstract

The process is particularly for the manufacture of forage-cap type disposable headgear as used in operating theatres, where a strip of paper or non-woven cloth is folded along three lines in the lengthwise direction to form it into an M, section. The strip is then parted off transversely into the desired length and the transverse edges are joined together. Each transverse edge (4) is then folded inwards, while at the same time the cap sidewalls (5) are spread out flat, so that each transverse edge coincides with the concave lengthwise fold line (2) in the centre. Each transverse edge is then secured in place by folding the walls on each side into an isosceles triangle.
