Abstract

The equipment comprises a control station and a means of taking up the container and bringing it either to a first evacuation station where it is left if its airtightness is adequate or a second evacuation station where it is left if its airtightness is not adequate. At the control station, the container is brought inside a vessel linked to a means of measuring the quantity of a tracer gas e.g. argon, helium. If the quantity of gas detected passes a predetermined level, a cylinder is actuated automatically and a piston-actuated by the rod of the cylinder - blocks one or more pipes which link the inside of the container to a vacuum pump.
