Abstract
Light modulator device which enables one circuit to control two complementary luminous channels as a function of the amplitude of a low frequency signal, u ses a single triac. The principle of connecting the record channel can be applied to any of the currently made positive triac modulators. The device is based on the fact that according to the voltage amplitude applied between the trigger and anode (1) of the triac, the latter can be used as an open or closed switch. In the case where the voltage is greater than the trigger step of the triac, it is the series of lamps (3) which are fed under nominal voltage, according to the operation of a classic light modulator. In the case where the control voltage is lower than the trigger voltage of the triac, the latter is used as an open switch and one series of lamps (4) is fed via the other (s). If a correct power relationship between the lamps is chosen, only one set (e.g. 4) is illuminated.
