Abstract

A press stud has a covering (4, 9) which is moulded and is then fixed to the cap of the press stud (3) or to the ball (7) of the other type. The covering has a lip around its periphery which is pressed over the external edge (3b, 7b) of the metallic parts of the studs. The covering is thicker in the centre (4a, 9a) so that it is supported by the metallic part of the stud and is not deformed at the time of mounting on the stud or when pressed on to the other half of the press stud.
