Abstract

Two documents carrying data are a cheque card or similar document and a cheque or similar both being simultaneously presented for cheque payment. The data is subdivided into two partial complementary data parts which must be used together, each document carrying a part of the complementary data. At the time of presentation of the two documents they are verified in a control terminal by means of coded function signs on the documents that the total information is carried on the two partial information carrying documents.
