Abstract

The transmission is provided with a hydrostatic pump whose operating pressure is controlled w.r.t. accelerator pedal setting. This provides an optimum transmission control. If the accelerator is released then there is danger that the safety interlock valve is connected in parallel to the pressure control valve which provides a smooth pressure drop in relation to the falling engine speed of the vehicle. This gives the driver a smoother, surer control. The pump is able to maintain a steady output which is regulated to control the pressure to the brakes.
