Abstract

In the case of the trousers illustrated the two legs (1, 2) are joined by sliding clasp fasteners (3, 4) at the front, centre and back. Other fasteners (7, 8) are fitted above the knee so that the trousers can be changed into shorts when required. The two trouser legs can be identical or of different colours and in the case of damage one part can be replaced. For feminine garments the fasteners are used in the same way to change a long dress into a short one or into a blouse, the dress also being made in two halves. All the parts can be prefabricated and are standardised.
