Abstract

The control circuit, for a micromotor, has the braking transistor (T2) controlled by the discharge of a capacitor (C) charged from the d.c. supply. The braking transistor is coupled across the motor and is in series with the motor's speed control transistor (T1). A control pulse (1) turns on a third transistor (T3) which simultaneously turns on the control transistor and charges the capacitor. When the pulse disappears the control transistor turns off and the capacitor discharges through a fourth transistor (turned on when the pulse disappears) and turns on the braking transistor.
