Abstract

The space heating and hot water system consists of a water boiler (1) with cold water feed with an inlet bath control (4) through an inlet control valve. The hot water outlet through teh top of the boiler passes through a two-way control valve (12) the main circuit passing to a number of hot water radiators (6). The secondary circuit feeds a hot water cylinder (8), which returns cold water from the reservoir through an outlet valve (16). The control valve cycle is controlled by a timing clock switch (17), with an additional control in the form of a thermostat (19) part way up the reservoir so that the hot water circulation is switched to it when cold water reaches the height of the thermostat. The heating capacity for the reservoir is adequate even when the time clock is at the shortest time period.
