Abstract

The rollers (3) are retained by the cage (4) and roll on the circular thrust plate (2). The thrust plate (2) is secured in a groove (13a) in the cylindrical housing (7) which extends axially over the roller cage (4) and terminates in a lip (6) which extends radially inwards to form a retainer for the roller cage (4). The other end of the housing (7) extends axially to form a number of resilient arms (9) provided with projections (11) which engage nothces (10) in the machine member (12) in order to retain the bearing in position. Variations of the design have the cage (4) and housing (8) formed in one piece or secure the housing on the inner radius of the machine member (12).
