Abstract

1495323 Bearings SKF INDUSTRIAL TRADING & DEVELOPMENT CO BV 25 April 1975 [26 April 1974] 17322/75 Heading F2A A ball bearing comprises inner and outer races 2, 3, each being provided with a pair of axially spaced raceway wires 4, 5, and a resilient pad 9 mounted on that surface of at least one of the races which is remote from the raceway, the or each pad being provided with a series of circumferentially spaced radial projections 18 which engage in corresponding apertures 17 provided in the race to locate the pad thereon and axially space the pair of wires of that race. The pad is of rubber or plastics, and one end 14 may be extended radially to form a seal (Fig. 2, not shown). The pad may be provided with a series of circumferentially spaced axially extending recesses 10, closed at each end by annular lips 11, 12.
