Abstract

Two hollow cylindrical bodies (24, 26) are closed at their ends and mounted parallel to each other, so as to form between them a throttle (44) followed by an expansion area (46). Each body has one or more control ports (34, 36), discharging downstream of the throttle, which is supplied with fluid under pressure. A pipe (28) of restricted diameter connects the chambers (30, 32) inside the bodies so as to generate an oscillating movement of the jet in the expansion area. The two bodies can each have circular bases, and can be of different radii. Each control port can be in the form of a slit running parallel to the cylindrical body axis, the section of the slot corresponding to that of the connecting pipe.
