Abstract

A pneumatic immersion pump has two air bottles (2, 2') immersed in the liquid with a feed valve in the bottom of each and with a plunger (6, 6') inside each, connected to respective discharge valves and compressed air supplies by flexible tubes. The bottles are carried by a vertical arm (3) which pivots about a spindle (4) at the top so that they are rocked from side to side by the electromagnetically operated pneumatic system assisted by a horizontal pivot arm (34) with a spring (35) one end, its pivot (33) being at the other end, with a central cam arrangement where two semicircular cut-outs (36, 37) are alternatively engaged by a boss (20). The vertical arm carries a cross member (31) to operate switches (14, 14') which control the electromagnetic valves which are mounted in a block (22) attached to the arm.
