Abstract

The device consists of a pair of knickers (1), to which there is secured, at the time of manufacture, an absorbent pad (2), and is disposable completely after use. The knickers can consist of non-woven fibre cloth, to which the pad is fixed after manufacture separately typically by gluing, welding or placement under a permeable cloth. Alternatively the pad can be formed by thickening the non-woven cloth locally. The knickers can have means for attachment to a girdle etc. and can be packed in a flexible waterproof envelope and easily opened, also usable for subsequent disposal.
