Abstract

The arm comprises a base, mounted in front of the dentist's chair, on which slews and pivots a first parallelogram linkage assembly. A second parallelogram assembly with horizontal pivot axes is mounted on the upper end of the first one, and elastic components such as springs are provided to counterbalance both assemblies. The free end of the second assembly supports the work table which slews on it on a vertical axis. Braking devices lock the components of the assemblies in position, and can be released when the table is moved into the desired position.
