Abstract

The device permits access for one person only at any given time, and has a U-shaped fence with a cruciform rotating door (1) locating at the closed end. This door rotates in controlled 90 deg. increments, leading a customer initially into a reception screening sector (4) and then to the exit in the event of non-admittance, or into the building if accepted. Doors (2) and panels (3, 4, 5) are of bullet proof glass and panel (5) hinges to permit entrance to the building. The rotating door (1) turns in one sense only. Locks (f) for the rotating door (1) and hinged door (5) allow a controller to drop a person when required, and a disabling gas spray may be included.
