Abstract

A light-degradable moulding compsn. contains (I) a thermoplastic (co)polymer, (II) 0.01-5 (0.05-1.5) wt% anthrone, opt. mono- or di-substd. in the 10-posn., and (III) 0.01-5 (0.01-5 (0.05-1.5) wt% of is not metal salt(s) of a 2-30C carboxylic acid and/or an acetylacetonate of a metal with atomic number 20-30, 38-49, or 56-71. (II) and (III) have a synergistic effect. (I) include (co)polymers of ethylene, propylene, butene, 4-methyl-1-pentene and styrene, copolymers of styrene with acrylonitrile or with acrylonitrile and butadiene, and polyoxymethylene.
