Abstract

The threaded metal spacing piece to be used between two walls or partitions, permits accurate adjustment of the distance between them. The spacer (1) has at both-ends threaded or screwed portions (11, 14), these parts having threads of opposite hand. The central portion has a cross-section suitable for turning with an open ended spanner. One of the screw length is approximately double that of the other, the shorter screw being of the self-tapping type. One or both of the screwed ends can be replaced by an externally threaded bore engaging over a stud fixed in the wall.
