Abstract

The speed controller and regulator for a low power d.c. motor has a capacitor connected to the motor terminals and a supply circuit composed of a voltage regulator consisting of Zener diodes and a potentiometer mounted at the output of the regulator. The regulator output is connected to the motor terminals through an amplifier having a high input impedance and a very high gain. The capacitance of the capacitor used may vary from 0.02 to 0.13 microfarads over a voltage range of 220 - 12 volts. The three stage amplifier is formed from three Darlington coupled transistors mounted in cascade.
