Abstract

The function controlled operates on circuits at a voltage which is an analogue of the degree of control and is a pulse length modulated signal of constant frequency and a function of the instantaneous value of amplitude. The modulated signal is applied simultaneously to several circuit parameters of one or several regulators via a master regulator. The modulated signal is applied to the base of a field effect transistor giving an extremely high or very low impedance to the signal. An output square wave is derived from a constant frequency sawtooth, its length dependant on the crossover point of the sawtooth over a DC reference level.
