Abstract
The deive compensates for uneven pump strokes and excess fuel flow and has a cylindrical body (2) between upper (1) and lower (3) end plates. Fuel enters the body (2) through a side passage (14) and flows to a lower chamber closed by a spring loaded membrane (5). Flow to an upper chamber is via a spring (7) loaded valve (8), this chamber being closed by a membrane (9) which may be adjusted by a screw (11) and nut (13). The fuel then flows to a side outlet (15). The chambers formed by the end plates and membranes have air vent holes.
