Abstract

The marine platform is horizontal and it is supported by vertical columns and a stiffening structure has vertical hollow members for accommodating vertical column of the platform. These members of the stiffening structure are connected by diagonal bracing members. The stiffening structure is positioned and sunk on the sea bottom. Sub-sequently the floating platform is brought into position and the platform columns are pushed into the hollow members of the stiffening structure and fastened to the sea bottom and to the stiffening structure. Finally the platform is brought into its final working level and fastened to its columns. This arrangement simplifies construction of the marine platform.
