Abstract

Adhesive coated sheet comprises composite layers of paper and Al foil with a top layer of thermoplastic matl. and a layer of contact adhesive on the underside. Esp. used for temporarily covering floorboards or stair treads etc. to protect them from traffic during construction of the building. The composite structure combines stiffness, resilience, tear resistance and impermeability to water. It is more durable than simple paper of rilm covers. Pref. the paper and Al layers are each covered on both faces with layers of the thermoplastic matl., pref. polyethylene film.
