N-(3-3, 4, 5-trimethoxyphenyl)propionyl)piperazines of formula (I) and their acid-addition salts. (where R is 1-4C alkoxy, or a group -NR1 R2 where R1 and R2 are each H, 1-4C alkyl or phenyl, provided that both are not H, or R1+R2 and the attached N-atom is morpholino or pyrrolidino) are coronary vasodilator, hypotensive, antiinflammatory, antidepressant, peripheral vasodilator, analgesic, hypertensive, cardiac analeptic and antiulcer activity. Specif. claimed are (I) where R is OEt or NME2.
