Abstract

The anchoring element is for fixture of building components made of aerated concrete, pumice material, or other porous and soft substances. The long spirally wound anchor shaft has a point at one end, and is automatically screwed into the material when turned, and has a fixing meding, pref. a polygonal sectioned unit for gripping by a tool, at the other, which may be threaded for attachment of adjoining elements. The anchor is pref. of steel or other metal. This can be applied to the appropriate place in the building component without first making a hole, and relatively high stresses can be introduced without danger of tearing or damage, with loading capacity dependent on the length and diameter of the shaft and the number of spiral turns.
